Zurich-based design collective Postfossil has two interesting ideas for the home that we were drawn to. The first is called “Shoes, Books and a Bike” – and is a display shelf for exactly that – some books, some shoes, but most of all the bike. Those who are avid cyclists can have a place in the house where the bike can be properly displayed, and not just stored. The bike can be set in place with a clamp (sold separately). The shelf is constructed from pine and coconut fiber. Designed by Thomas Walde.
The other is a set of three cutting boards and a trivet called “For Seasons” designed by Anna Blattert. It is said that the materials and format have been chosen appropriately to what is in season. So here are the four pieces:
The backside of each board includes an engraved list of all vegetables and fruits that are seasonal in this time of the year.
