Today at IMM Cologne, French company Ligne Roset will introduce its first collaboration with designer Benjamin Hubert called ‘Container’. Container is a desk lamp made from ceramic components, which is usually associated with tableware.
Mr Hubert’s ‘materials driven, process led, industrial design approach’ used the ceramic to contain the lighting components as well as to produce a soft reflected illumination output from the interior glazed surface to light the table or desk beneath. The lamp comprises two large ceramic components held together under the tension of an injection molded silicone band eradicating the need for any glue or screws.
The components have been manufactured by Italian ceramicists Bosa. Check it out.
