Designer Arik Levy created these Forest Stools for UK-based company Bernhardt Design. Like the name suggests, these Forest Stools are reminders of trees in winter.
The symmetrical circular base of the vertical chrome rods represent the trunk, while each of the short footrests placed horizontally at different levels resemble tree branches. At the same time, these footrests are “customized” for different leg lengths.
The seat of the bar stool swivels 360 degrees, with the top available in solid walnut and maple sealed with a hand-rubbed natural finish or other standard finishes. It may also be custom upholstered in any material provided by the customer, or from Bernhardt’s own textile choices.
“Forest is the result of the battle between nature and man; the creation of comfort by the variable heights of the footrests,” says Levy. Levy used his intuition and experience to explain how “Every piece appears random, but each segment was purposeful and later adjusted.” When you put multiple stools together – the forest theme comes to life.
